New Orleans-based Branded Works is owned by Ruth Ann Menutis, who previously owned The Grove stores. By 2004 when she sold that chain, which sold dried foods, nuts, and other snack items, it had grown to 100 locations in 18 airports. Branded Works is now the exclusive airport franchisee of Raising Cane’s, which sells fresh, never frozen chicken breast tenderloins (marinated for 24-hours then hand battered and cooked to order with speed and convenience), crinkle-cut fries, buttered Texas toast and freshly-squeezed lemonade.
