RDU Opens New Stores in Terminal 2

Raleigh-Durham International (RDU) has opened 15 new stores as part of an overall renovation program aimed at improving the experience of the growing number of travelers at the airport.

“With more than 32,000 travelers passing through RDU each day, we already are experiencing passenger volumes projected for the year 2024, and just recently concluded record year growth,” says Airport Authority President/CEO Michael Landguth. “As the Triangle area continues to thrive, we are committed to helping our region adapt to its tremendous growth through campus-wide improvements that meet customer needs, including the addition of these shops.”

The new concessionaires include Raleigh-Durham Duty Free, ink by Hudson, Corsa Collections, 5th & Sunset Luxury Eyewear, Root & Branch, Vineyard Vines, WRAL Travel Store, XpresSpa, No Boundaries, Swarovski, City Market News by Hudson, Tech on the Go and TripAdvisor.

Roderick McOwan, chief development officer at Las Vegas-based Marshall Retail Group, one of RDU’s concessions partners, says the goal of their new Root & Branch shop is to help customers feel at ease at the airport, adding. “We hope that passengers will view the airport’s new offerings as an opportunity to extend their vacation by stopping by our store to pick up a genuine locally-sourced memento of their trip to North Carolina.”
