THE POSITION: The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) is seeking an individual with professional experience in airport property or commercial property management to join our dynamic Airport Economic Development (AED) team as the Property Specialist II – General Aviation (GA). There is one (1) position open. At the RTAA, the Property Specialist II – GA is a key member of the AED team. The Property Specialist II – GA reports to, and provides highly-responsible, professional-level staff assistance to, the Senior Manager of Properties. The Property Specialist II – GA is responsible for optimizing the net profitability of the GA programs at the Reno-Tahoe International (RNO) and Reno-Stead (RTS) Airports through the development of tenant relations, management of facilities, and the negotiation and administration of agreements from inception through termination. The GA program includes commercial and non-commercial tenants, Box and T-Hangar facilities, agreements with Fixed Base Operators, providers of maintenance, repair and overhaul services, and other related tenants and/or vendors.

The nature of the position requires the ability to organize and direct complex projects and programs; sound judgment and discretion in determining optimal strategies for meeting departmental goals and objectives; the ability to develop tactical plans and achieve strategic goals; the ability to identify and implement innovative and efficient solutions; excellent business communication skills; and the ability to establish, maintain and foster effective working relationships.
