The Air Transport Research Society has named RNO the second most-efficient airport in the United States and Canada.
It is the third time in six years the airport has been listed in the top five most-efficient airports, ranking higher than larger West Coast airports. It was most recently ranked in 2010 for American and Canadian airports with fewer than 15 million passengers.
“This award helps demonstrate to our community that Reno-Tahoe International
is one of the finest run airports in the nation,” says Krys Bart, president and CEO of
the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority. “It is a tribute to the dedication of the staff and
board to financially operate an airport that can be a model for other communities
across the United States and Canada.”
