Position: (Consulting) Director
Practice Area: Retail Practice
Location: Chicago (preferred, but another location can be considered)
Reporting: Retail Practice Leader
Education/Experience:
Undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree and more than seven years consulting or related experience in airport concessions planning or management, commercial real estate (property or asset management), airport management, retail management (including mall type experience), food service management, or commercial banking.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Commensurate with a senior-level consulting position with project management and client relations responsibilities. General duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Consulting project management including schedule and budget accountability and management, staff direction and oversight, quality control, and client relations and revenue management.
- As appropriate and necessary in order to timely complete projects with a high level of quality or as directed by retail practice leader, performance of specific consulting tasks. Typical tasks involve development of airport commercial plans (including space planning, merchandising, and program performance analysis), preparation and oversight of request for proposals, and other tenant solicitations on behalf of clients, financial analysis, market research, market survey management and interpretation, report preparation and presentations and related activities.
- Program, merchandising, and leasing for a retail commercial development setting.
- Junior staff training.
- Assistance with the preparation of proposals in response to client requests for proposals (in retail, as well as other practice areas of the Company).
- General marketing and promotion of the Company’s services to actual and prospective clients.
- Other related duties and tasks as assigned by retail practice leader or Company’s president or executive vice president.
Other Qualifications:
Strong analytical and project management skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; computer proficiency; and ability to operate independently.
Other:
Extensive travel may be required.
