Roam Fitness To Open At PHL

Roam Fitness, an airport gym and shower facility, will open at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) in winter 2023, developer MarketPlace PHL announced.

The new space opening at PHL will feature 1,500 square feet of state-of-the-art cardio equipment, free weights and a cable system, connected fitness machines with on-demand and live classes, stretching space with yoga mats and props, an infrared sauna, and private shower rooms with towel service and Malin+Goetz products. Currently, ROAM Fitness is open at Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI).

“After five years of fine-tuning our service offering at Baltimore (BWI) Airport, including two and a half years of surviving a pandemic, I am thrilled to see ROAM Fitness expanding its footprint to more in-terminal airport locations, continuing with Philadelphia (PHL) Airport,” says Ty Manegold, co-founder. “Philly’s large presence in the mid-Atlantic and New England markets and its being a hub for American Airlines make it a great location for our second wellness center, allowing us to expand the value of our health club offering to the community at large. With an increase in total square footage, our larger facility will showcase an expansion in variety and total number of exercise stations, including the latest and greatest in technology-integrated feedback and connected coaching platforms that have become the vanguard of any workout experience.”

Mel Hannah, vice president and general manager of MarketPlace PHL, said the offering “will revitalize the travel experience for those who want to keep up with their fitness goals.”
