Roel Huinink Named New CEO of JFKIAT

JFK International Air Terminal LLC, the company that manages Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), has named Roel Huinink as its new CEO. Huinink will replace Gert-Jan de Graaff, who has been president and CEO of JFKIAT since 2014. Huinink, who will begin his duties on Aug. 1, will oversee the day-to-day operations of Terminal 4.

Huinink is coming from a career as an international transportation executive. He has two decades of experience in business development, commercial management and marketing consulting. He is currently program director at The Royal Dutch Touring Club ANWB.

Between 2014 and 2017, Huinink sat on the management board of Norwegian-based Airport Retail Group, where he is now on the advisory board. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Rygge Sivile Lufthavn A/S, which operates Moss Airport (RYG) in Norway.

From 1999 to 2014, Huinink held management positions with Royal Schiphol Group, including managing director of Arlanda Schiphol Development Company and director of parking and mobility services at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS).

“Throughout my career, I’ve gained invaluable experiences across several areas of airport management,” says Huinink. “Having the opportunity to channel this expertise – in conjunction with my passion for people management and a results-driven leadership approach – for this new role at the New York-area’s most active air terminals is a tremendous honor.”
