The Orange County Board of Supervisors hired Barry Rondinella to be the new director of John Wayne (SNA) on Oct. 20. He will replace Alan Murphy, who retired earlier this year.
Rondinella has been with Los Angeles World Airports as its director of operations since 2010. His previous experience includes deputy director for operations at Sacramento International (SMF) and airport director at both Stockton Metropolitan (SCK) and Santa Maria Public (SMX).
“John Wayne Airport serves more than 10 million passengers a year with unique passenger restrictions and noise regulations that protect communities,” says Todd Spitzer, board of supervisors chairman, Third District. “It’s essential to have an airport director whose highest priorities are to protect the community and honor the curfew. The board is pleased to have selected someone who is extremely qualified and collaborative.”
