Roy Fuhrmann Named Chief Operating Officer Of MAC

The Metropolitan Airports Commission has named Roy Fuhrmann as its new chief operating officer. In this position Fuhrmann will oversee airport planning, facilities improvements, operations and maintenance of all seven MAC airports, including Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).

Fuhrmann is a longtime employee of MAC. His first role at a commission airport was as a noise technician intern in 1991. Fuhrmann became a permanent MAC employee in 1994 when he was hired as an aviation noise and geographic systems specialist. Subsequently, Fuhrmann held positions as assistant manager of tenant relationships at the reliever airports department, and he was also responsible for day-to-day operations at Crystal Airport (MIC). He has been director of MAC’s environment department and vice president of management and operations for all seven MAC airports.
