Ryan To Retire From MIA

Patricia Ryan will retire from her job as manager of commercial operations at Miami International (MIA) to “pursue other interests” effective July 3.

Ryan says that though she is retiring from the job, she has no plans to slow down or leave the airport industry. She has many options to explore, including as a consultant with an aviation firm as well as a teaching position at Embry Riddle University, where she was previously a professor. In addition, Ryan is developing a commercial course for the Airport Authority of India in conjunction with ACI.

She will be moving to Melbourne, Fla., where she and her husband have purchased a home. She says her new environment will allow her to further her golf game but “that might get a bit old very fast.”
