A new art gallery space has opened in the pre-security area of Terminal 2 West at San Diego International (SAN) in conjunction with the 25th annual Mission Federal ArtWalk Festival.
The WestEnd Gallery celebrates the ArtWalk event, which is April 25 and 26 in Little Italy; its opening celebrates April as “A Month for Art.”
The 600 sq. ft. display will change exhibits every six months; the inaugural showing, which includes 12 paintings, includes original artwork from some of ArtWalk’s featured Mexican artists.
“We hope this gallery cultivates a unique sense of place for San Diego International Airport by presenting regional, national and international art and culture,” says Thella F. Bowens, President and CEO of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.
