SAT, AUS Add Lactation Stations

Nursing mothers traveling through San Antonio International (SAT) and Austin Bergstrom International (AUS) now have lactation stations in post-security at their disposal.

“Just in time for the busy summer travel season, SAT is providing a much-desired amenity for traveling families,” says Tom Jones, SAT aviation director. “Mothers will find the lactation station a clean, calm and comfortable place to nurse and care for their babies.”

Each terminal in SAT now has a station post-security, as well as one pre-security in Terminal A. The stations can be found using signage marked with the international breast-feeding symbol. The stations are freestanding and have seating and outlets for pumps or entertainment devices.

The lactation station at AUS can be found in the Barbara Jordan Terminal, across from Gate 7. Included in the station are two bench seats, a fold-down table, electrical and USB outlets, a mirror and a door that can be closed for privacy.

At AUS, complimentary wipes and diapers will be available in the station May 9-13 or while supplies last.
