Areas USA has named Richard Schneider as its new chief development officer, responsible for leading the business development team in identifying, attracting, and establishing new client relationships to develop and grow the business.
For the past three years, Schneider had led the Areas USA operations team as COO while engaged in many business development efforts. In all, Schneider brings 27 years of hospitality experience to his new role.
“When we were recruiting someone to lead the BD team it became clear to me that Richard was the right person for the job,” says Areas USA CEO Carlos Bernal. “He has an operating background, understands design, construction, brands, deal terms, and what it takes to win business in the airport environment. He also understands the political and ACDBE landscape. We are pleased he has accepted this new role.”
