Just in time for the Kentucky Derby, Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) is introducing a new simplified initiative from IDEMIA for passengers to enroll in the TSA PreCheck program.
This new, simplified initiative, which was first launched at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) in Mississippi in March, delivers TSA PreCheck enrollment in five minutes or less, with most passengers receiving their Known Traveler Number (KTN) within three to five days.
At SDF, this initiative will be available from May 5 through May 16 with IDEMIA enrollment teams stationed throughout the airport with carts equipped to enroll passengers for TSA PreCheck.
“This is a game changer that simplifies TSA PreCheck enrollment, and we are rolling this out to travelers during one of Louisville’s busiest travel periods of the year,” said Lisa Sullivan, senior vice president, travel and transport for IDEMIA I&S North America. “IDEMIA is the pioneer in identity verification and validation technologies and our innovations are streamlining the TSA PreCheck enrollment process for travelers.”
Travelers who enroll in the program on-site at SDF will also be able to use their new TSA PreCheck security check-in process for their flight on the day they enroll.
“We are glad that SDF is an early adopter of this new and important evolution of TSA PreCheck enrollment,” said Dan Mann, executive director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “Anytime we can offer travelers an opportunity to enhance their airport experience is a win for us and our community. We look forward to learning how best to deliver this new service for people traveling to and from our region.”
