DEN is the 5th-busiest commercial passenger airport in the United States, spanning 53 square miles, and serves 53 million annual passengers. It operates the 4th busiest airfield in the world, including North America’s longest commercial runway at 16,000 feet. Additionally, DEN is well underway with construction on several substantial projects (including a major hotel and commuter-rail station), is currently completing construction of 5 new gates, has a 9000 acre Airport City in the planning stage, and has a capital budget of $1.6B over the next 5 years – offering an extraordinary opportunity to lead at a time of growth. As the nation’s newest major commercial airport and with the combined assets of good geographic location and large physical size, DEN has the capacity to double in size and is well-positioned for future growth as the portal for the Rocky Mountain Region and a key link for products and people throughout the world. DEN is the primary economic engine of the state of Colorado, generating more than $26B in annual economic impact.
