SFO Adds Music Experience

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) announced this week the latest activation of an experiential series, “SFO Celebrates – Music in Golden Gate Park,” that celebrates the rich history of live music performances in Golden Gate Park with a photo essay, live performances and a photo station in Terminal 3, Boarding Area F.

From Jimi Hendrix in the 1960s to Lizzo in the 2020s, travelers can experience some of Golden Gate Park’s most memorable performances, as seen through the lenses of celebrated photographers Jay Blakesberg, Phil Halperin, Jim Marshall, Ron Rakow and Alvan Meyerowitz. The photo essay is located along the F Concourse moving walkways and will run through October 11.

A stage near the F Food Court will feature a two-sided backdrop where travelers can put themselves into the picture with the Grateful Dead in the 1960s or with Billie Eilish today. Live music performances will be on August 25th and 26th and September 1st and 2nd.
