San Francisco International Airport (SFO) said it has reached a tentative agreement with the union representing airport food service workers that provides for increased wages, health insurance and benefits.
The deal with Unite Here! Local 2, which represents the food service workers at the airport, is for three years and ends a labor action which has impacted food, beverage and lounge operations at SFO.
“I am thrilled that both parties have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract,” said SFO Director Ivar Satero. “This new contract provides competitive pay and benefits, allowing our food workers to continue delivering the world-class airport experience that travelers love. I appreciate the commitment from both the union and restaurant operators that made this outcome possible.”
