SFO Reaches Agreement With Wingz

San Francisco International (SFO) has reached an agreement with Wingz under which the transportation network company can operate legally at the airport.

The pilot permit allows drivers to pick up and drop off at SFO. Wingz plans to begin operations there within 30 days.

“Wingz is the first community transportation network focused on providing scheduled rides to airports,” says Wingz CEO Geoff Mathieux. “Now San Francisco travelers going to or from SFO have the option to schedule a $35 flat rate private ride with an awesome trained and background-checked driver.”

SFO previously had announced agreements with Sidecar, Lyft and UberX, each permitting for a 90-day pilot program that allows the airport to evaluate how the new businesses affect roadway traffic. Adjustments will be made as necessary, airport officials say.
