San Francisco International Airport (SFO)’s free Remote Bag Check service has already processed over 15,000 bags since launching in November 2024. The service offers passengers the ability to check their bags, retrieve boarding passes and travel directly to their terminal security checkpoint via the AirTrain from the Long-Term Parking and Rental Car Center. The program is operated by travel and hospitality solution company Bags in partnership with Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest and United Airlines.
