Bi-State Development said this week that Sandra Shore will become the new director to lead St. Louis Downtown Airport (CPS) operations starting February 28.
The Cahokia, IL airport is the third busiest airport overall in the state after Chicago O’Hare International (ORD) and Midway International (MDW) airports and is the largest general aviation airport in Illinois, annually contributing more than $422 million in annual economic benefits to the local economy.
Shore is currently the airport director at Quincy Regional Airport (UIN) in Quincy, Ill., and was previously the airport manager at Floyd Jones Lebanon Airport (LBO) in Lebanon, Mo. Shore will be replacing Erick Dahl who served as director of CPS for nearly 8 years.
“We are pleased that Sandra will join our team to lead our airport operations into the future, said Taulby Roach, president and CEO of Bi-State Development, which owns and operates CPS. “With St. Louis Downtown Airport being located on 1,000 acres of prime real estate practically in the shadow of the Gateway Arch, we welcome her fresh view on generating new business and new tenants which will benefit St. Clair County and our region.”
