Sky Harbor Uses Technology to Connect with Customers

Phoenix Sky Harbor International (PHX) is now using multiple communications tools to connect with its customers.

Phoenix Sky Harbor is now on Twitter as PHXSkyHarbor. Passengers can sign up today to become a follower and see airport updates known as “tweets.” Followers on Twitter receive important updates about events happening at the airport.

Sky Harbor’s website – www.phxskyharbor.com – now features a PHX Perspective page. This new page highlights what is going on at the airport with pictures and statistics. Stories and pictures from this new page are available for journalists to use and is an easy and quick way for passengers, as well as the media, to find out what is going on at Sky Harbor, according to an airport press release. New PHX Perspective stories generate Twitter alerts as well.

In addition, customers can now access PHX’s flight schedules electronically. Passengers can use their desktop or laptop computers to search flights and compare schedules, then link directly to individual airlines. The airport’s flight schedules can also be downloaded to desktops, laptops or even pocket PCs or Palms. Customers with wireless handheld devices like a Blackberry or Smartphone can search Sky Harbor’s flight schedules on the go from these handheld devices.
