For the fifth consecutive year, Vancouver International (YVR) has been named the No. 1 airport in North America by Skytrax World Airports Awards.
The awards are voted on by customers in an annual global airport customer satisfaction survey. The survey and awards process is independent of any airport influence or interference in final results. Awards are based on 12.85 million customer nominations across 110 nationalities of air travelers at 410 airports around the world. The survey evaluates customer satisfaction across 39 key performance indicators for airport service and product, from check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security and immigration, through to departure at the gate.

The airport is planning a celebration campaign to thank its employees, customers, airlines and business partners.
