Baldi Management Group (BMG) is partnering with Fraport USA to open local retail brand South Block at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) in 2024. Set to open in Concourse D, South Block at Dulles will serve fresh-made acai bowls, smoothies, and cold-pressed juices. The store will also feature on-the-go sandwiches and salads from Wellfound Foods, a Washington, DC-based company that offers fresh, healthy and delicious options packaged for convenience and travel.
“We are extremely grateful to have this opportunity and excited to bring great local brands to our hometown airport!” said Stephen Baldi, BMG founder. BMG, a Black-owned concession company, operates a number of successful brands at IAD and Reagan National Airport (DCA), including Dunkin Donuts, Smashburger, Auntie Anne’s, Potbelly, and Timber Pizza.
In this South Block location, BMG will also partner with Procure Impact to identify packaged snacks and treats produced by local social enterprises that create job opportunities for those who have faced significant barriers to work.
