Sr. Vice President Business Development

Delaware North is one of the world’s leading airport food service and retail companies.  Through contracts at major airports and travel plazas in the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand, Delaware North manages more than 300 restaurants and retail stores, serving more than 350 million customers each year.

Your Role:

This Buffalo, NY based Senior Leadership position will create strategies and actions that support planned growth, and existing and nontraditional acquisitions that add to the strength and positioning of our THS portfolio.

The SR VP will lead a team of business development professionals to strategically grow the business looking at traditional and non-traditional business opportunities.

The executive will lead the team in capturing new business via analysis of current market trends, client needs, and value propositions/win strategies for each unique business scenario.

Necessary for this role is someone who can develop and execute strong reputation management strategies and marketing initiatives that showcase the Travel Hospitality brand.

Expect to coordinate and oversee bid responses and delivery processes and partner with corporate groups such as finance and marketing to complete bid responses, timelines, and workforce planning and regulatory requirements.

Important for the SR VP is to ensure that partnerships/collaborations with political supporters, lobbyists, industry partners, joint ventures, and with disadvantage business enterprises are developed, maintained,  strengthen our market position and result in a stronger value proposition for Delaware North and our clients and customers.

Also inherent in the position is to Lead and develop a high performing business development team.

Our Expectations:

  • Qualified associates must have a minimum of ten years sales, marketing or business development in the contract services industry, in a leadership capacity.
  • Deep understanding of sales and marketing, operations and client profiles.
  • Ability to influence across support and operational departments to create a meaningful and realistic product.  Willingness to embrace and align with the Delaware North
  • Global acumen to appropriately prospect and execute new business deals.
  • Ability to collaborate amongst functional departments within Delaware North.  Experience and success in incorporating HR, Operational and Financial elements into bid processes to produce quality and realistic pro forma results that exceed the need of the client.
  • Superb sales ability, writing/presentation and relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated personal presence and creditability in the marketplace.
