Tony’s Wine Cellar & Bistro is now pouring and serving in Terminal D of George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), courtesy of SSP America.
The 1,300-square-foot location is a collaboration with Houston restaurateur Tony Vallone.
“Tony Vallone is an icon within the Houston culinary scene, and his reputation is synonymous with dining excellence,” says Michael Svagdis, president and CEO of SSP America. “SSP America is proud to have partnered with such a laurelled leader in bringing this concept to IAH. At Tony’s, our shared passion for exceptional dining will be matched only by our unrivalled performance in the kitchen, original selections from the wine cellar and peerless tableside service. Houstonians expect a memorable experience from Tony Vallone, and we promise to deliver.”
The wine list includes Italian proseccos, Californian chardonnays, pinot grigios, pinot noirs, cabernet sauvignon, French marsanne and Argentinian malbec. The bistro-style menu features small plates of artisanal cheese, light salads, sandwiches, prime rib sliders, Kobe beef sliders and the club sandwich.
“[Tony’s Wine Cellar & Bistro] fits well with our efforts to provide our passengers with a wide variety of both world-class products and world-class service, and promote a world-class feel to a city and airport recognized for growth and innovation worldwide,” says Randy Goodman, concessions general manager for the Houston Airport System.
