SSP America Announces New Biz Dev Hires

SSP America, a division of SSP Group, has welcomed three industry veterans into its executive ranks.  Paul Brown serves as senior director of brands and concepts, while Jen Juul is the senior director of business development and strategic communications and Dawn Hunter is vice president of business development

The moves follow the recent appointment of Maria Martinez as SSP American senior director of brands and concepts. Brown joins Martinez in identifying new restaurants and maintaining a portfolio of brand relationships in key markets across the U.S. and Canada.

“My 20-year-aviation career has included leadership positions at airports and with retailers, concessionaires, and brands,” said Brown. “These experiences give me a great vantage point as I join the company’s renowned brands and concepts team. We’ll continue our focus on bringing brands to airports which are truly reflective of a particular region. “

Juul is responsible for the acquisition of new business, identifying new local brands, and managing the company’s renowned industry networking events. Jen will also serve as a primary interface with industry organizations as the SSP America team works to support the larger aviation community.

Hunter joins SSP America with more than 15 years’ experience in commercial and aviation leadership, most recent serving as director of aviation commercial management department and interim chief operating officer at Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA).

“The role created by SSP America is made to order for me as it leverages the experiences I’ve had leading commercial and development initiatives,” she said.  “I look forward to contributing to SSP America with my passion and solutions-oriented creativity.”
