SSP Canada has become the sole food and beverage operator at Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International (YWG).
The company will operate 11 new units with a combination of popular Canadian and international brands, as well as a selection of emerging proprietary brands.
It opened two concepts – T.G.I. Friday’s and Starbucks – when the airport’s new terminal building opened its doors in November. It was SSP’s first Starbucks location in a food travel environment in North America, and it was the first T.G.I. Friday’s location in the Winnipeg region.
Other concepts that will be joining the lineup include Tim Hortons, offering coffees, teas, soups and sandwiches; Fuel Bar, where travelers can sample wines and cocktails; Gondola Pizza, a native of Winnipeg featuring pizza, pasta, ribs and chicken wings; Red Wok, offering Asian food; Salisbury House, serving snacks and coffee; and Stella’s Cafe & Bakery, another local concept, featuring baked goods.
