SSP, Hudson Celebrate JFK T4 Openings

JFKIAT, the operator of Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), recently held a double ribbon cutting ceremony with SSP America and Hudson to celebrate the opening of Beacon Bar & Kitchen and Hudson in T4’s new Concourse A.

SSP America’s Beacon Bar & Kitchen features lighthouse-inspired finishes that evoke the beauty of Long Island Sound, offers a blend of locally inspired dishes and beloved passenger favorites. With efficient order-at-the-table QR code and self-ordering kiosk technology, SSP America ensures speedy service while putting passengers in control of their experience.

“The Beacon Bar & Kitchen concept is a great example of our focus on bringing a ‘taste of place’ to the T4 passengers,” said Michael Svagdis, SSP America CEO.  “T4 is a special terminal not just because it’s one of the biggest gateways to the United States, but because of the community the IAT team, Delta Air Lines, and partners have built. Our passionate team of food travel experts look forward to doing all we can to support the expansion, redevelopment, and ongoing initiatives.”

Hudson’s new Concourse A location has a diverse array of both globally recognized brands and local products, and a wide selection of essentials for guests to choose from. Offerings include local products from Reisman’s Bakery, Sweet Sam’s Baking Company, Brooklyn Bites, Hal’s New York, North Fork Potato Chips, among others. Self-checkout is also available.

“Hudson is thrilled to expand our presence in Terminal 4 and give travelers the best travel essentials, electronics, and local products in our new store,” said Brian Quinn, Hudson, executive vice president and deputy CEO. “We thank our partners at JFKIAT for the opportunity to continue to elevate the traveler experience and deliver retail offerings worthy of one of the most iconic cities in the world.”

The JFK Terminal 4 Concourse A expansion opened earlier this year as part of the T4 redevelopment, and JFKIAT said more concessions and other amenities are planned.

“We look forward to presenting additional concepts as more projects in this redevelopment come to fruition, and we look forward to our continued work with our partners to bring these significant improvements to life,” said Roel Huinink, JFKIAT, president and CEO.
