SSP America and JFK International Air Terminal LLC have opened Central Diner, a 4,000-square-foot, 1930s-inspired restaurant that attempts to capture the essence of a traditional New York diner, inside Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International (JFK).
It is the only pre-security, sit-down dining option inside Terminal 4, which has been heavily renovated in recent years.
“This is only the latest of our ever-expanding effort to make Terminal 4 the true terminal of choice,” says Gert-Jan de Graaf, president and CEO of JFKIAT. “As we near the completion of the terminal’s expansion, Central Diner will deliver to travelers as well as non-travelers a food option never before offered at JFK.”
Les Cappetta, president and CEO of SSP America, says the restaurant reflects the company’s vision to revolutionize the food experience at airports.
“Central Diner will offer passengers a spectacular pre-security dining experience in the Arrivals Hall open to the public, travelers, meters and greeters, and employees alike,” he says.
