SSP has retained a contract at the domestic terminal of Helsinki-Vantaa (HEL) and will operate four airside and landside units.
“This deal will further strengthen our strategic position in the Nordic region,” says Kalle Ruuskanen, managing director of SSP Finland. ” We are particularly delighted to have won the business, as we faced tough competition from both local and international operators.”
The company also will open three outlets at the international terminal. One concession, a bar called Wine & View, will offer an extensive wine selection, as well as light snacks such as tapas, cheeses and cakes.
Other spots are the Coffee Spoon cafe, with ice cream a key feature on its menu, and Cafe Alvar, scheduled to open this summer in a currently unused area and showcasing Finnish design, food and service.
