Construction on a variety of projects at St. Petersburg’s Albert Whitted Municipal (SPG) are nearing completion. Three of the airport’s four approaches over water along the downtown skyline are finished. Additionally the new Intermodal General Aviation Center, which has a 10,600 square foot germinal and a 12,200 square yard aircraft parking ramp, is complete while negotiations are ongoing for an aviation-themed restaurant with American fare, according to the Tampa Bay Partnership.
