STL Makes Room For Rideshare Companies

The St. Louis Airport Commission approved the rules, regulations and fee structure for transportation network companies to operate at St. Louis Lambert International (STL).

The ground transportation use agreement permit is currently awaiting approval from the St. Louis City Board of Estimate and Apportionment. Once the permit is finalized, transportation network companies’ operations could begin as early as the end of August.

The permit will require transportation network companies to pay a $15,000 administration fee for a two-year term. The permit also sets a $3 fee for each pickup and drop-off of a passenger by a transportation network company driver.

The permit process for transportation network companies began earlier this year once the State of Missouri passed a new law governing the operation and regulation of transportation networks throughout the state.
