Students Paint Windows At PHL

Thirty fifth-grade students in John Mitch’s art class at Tinicum School in Tinicum Township, Pa., created a mural that decorates large windows near the security checkpoint in Terminal D at Philadelphia International (PHL).

The students created the mural out of silhouettes of iconic symbols associated with destinations from throughout the world. They are pasted on top of a colorful mosaic tissue paper background. Destinations chosen by the students included the Eiffel Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Disney World, the Gateway Arch and City Hall in Philadelphia.
