Students Treated To A Holiday Celebration At ATL

About 150 first-graders got an early taste of the holidays at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International on Tuesday.

The Bethune Elementary School students were visited by Sparkles the Clown and a magician, and they took class photos with Santa. They also received gift bags containing school supplies and goodies from airport concessionaires.

“I am thrilled to share in the spirit of the season with children from our local community during this very special program,” says ATL General Manager Louis Miller, who spoke to students, teachers and parents, with Scarlet Pressley-Brown, general manager of community affairs and the Delta Air Lines Foundation.

It was the 14th year for the event, held at the Delta Air Transport Heritage Museum.

“This is truly the most wonderful time of the year,” says Tracy Gilbert, aviation special programs manager. “We are very thankful for the generosity of every company and employee who donated their time and resources to make this program happen.”
