HMSHost Corp. has added a taste of California to Chicago O’Hare International (ORD).
The company and its partner Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises opened Summer House Santa Monica in ORD’s Terminal 2.
It’s the brand’s first airport location at Chicago O’Hare “where travelers will find a wonderful atmosphere, delicious food and cocktails, and exceptional service,” says Steve Johnson, president and CEO of HMSHost. “With our partners, the Chicago Department of Aviation and Lettuce Entertain You, we’ve transformed this popular, casual-dining restaurant into a convenient, quick-serve restaurant that is sure to be a hit with the millions of travelers passing through O’Hare.”
The concept features a chef-driven menu that focuses on high-quality ingredients and simply prepared dishes. Menu items include the Santa Monica Cobb Salad, the Grilled Surfer Style Baja Fish Tacos and the Double Decker Cali Burger. There are also grab-and-go items for travelers who are in a hurry.

Summer House will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
