SYR To Open Soul Food Favorite

The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) has announced plans to open an airport location of local favorite Miss Prissy’s at Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR).

The American soul food-focused eatery, which first opened in Syracuse’s Salt City Food Market as part of its business incubator program, is slated to open in SYR’s Terminal B in early 2025. The restaurant will take the place of Terminal B’s eSavvy gift shop. A New York State-certified Minority and Woman Owned Business, Miss Prissy’s will be operated by owners Dreamer Glen and Cyrus Thornton.

“As we expand and improve the airport, our mission is to ensure travelers can savor the finest local flavors Syracuse has to offer,” said SRAA chief commercial officer Jason Mehl. “By partnering with Dreamer and Cyrus to introduce Miss Prissy’s to the airport, we are bringing our vision to life, creating a genuine ‘sense of place,’ and elevating the entire passenger experience.”

“Food is the ultimate unifier,” said Glen, noting that the team looks forward to introducing travelers from around the world to Miss Prissy’s cuisine. “You can crack anyone with a good meal!”
