Marshall Taggart Jr. is taking over as director of Montgomery Regional (MGM), the Montgomery Airport Authority (MAA) announced, where he will be tasked with leading the Moving MGM Forward—VISION 2025 initiative.
Taggart comes to MGM from DeKalb Peachtree (PDK), where he served as deputy airport director for the second busiest airport in Georgia, helping to oversee operations, security, facilities, maintenance as well as the successful administration of more than $42 million in new construction and airfield projects.
Taggart also served as the national director for airport business development for MediaShift, and was the deputy aviation director for Tallahassee Regional (now International) (TLH). Taggart has experience at larger airports, working in business development, marketing, planning and real estate at Chicago Midway (MDW), O’Hare International (ORD) and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL).
“Mr. Taggart was selected by a diverse committee, made up representatives from the local and business communities, as well as leaders in the aviation industry,” says MAA Board Chair Tammy Knight Fleming. “He brings a wealth of experience to MGM, and we look forward to supporting his vision for the airport.”
