TAM Airlines Begins Service At MCO

Orlando International (MCO) welcomed TAM Airlines to its gates Nov. 21.

“The addition of TAM Airlines is an important step in our continuing efforts to open new and exciting global destinations for business and casual travelers here in Central Florida,” says Jeff Fuqua, chairman of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “This process did not happen overnight, a lot of hard work and years of negotiations have brought us to this exciting day.”

The airline, which will offer daily, nonstop service to Sao Paulo, Brazil, will fly an A330-200 aircraft capable of transporting 213 passengers. Orlando is the airline’s third North American airport of the airline, which becomes the 15th carrier to operate at MCO with nonstop service to worldwide destinations.
