Lambert-St. Louis International (STL) is serving up a local treat.
Ted Drewes Frozen Custard is now available in three new chilled vending machines that have been installed in each of the airport’s concourses.
“Ted Drewes has a fanatical following here, and we’re excited to be able to offer a unique taste of St. Louis in the airport for our millions of visitors who might not otherwise get a chance to visit the South St. Louis custard stands,” says Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, airport director.
The custard in the machines will be concrete style, which Ted Drewes Operations Manager Chris Beckemeier describes as “a shake so thick you can turn it upside down.” The company will stock the machines with 8-ounce containers of its six best-selling flavors: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, Oreo cookie, Heath Bar and chocolate chip.
