Tennessee Arts Commission Awards $9,000 For Art At BNA

The Tennessee Arts Commission has given the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority’s music and arts program, Arts at the Airport, a $9,000 grant for its Flying Solo exhibition series.

The series is a quarterly exhibit that brings local and regional artwork to Nashville International (BNA).

“We are pleased to again have funding from the Tennessee Arts Commission for the Flying Solo exhibition series, which brings the work of talented artists from Middle Tennessee and the region to our passengers, partners and employees at Nashville International,” says Raul Regalado, president and CEO of the MNAA. “In showcasing some of the area’s top artistic talent, we are providing the look and feel of Nashville, which helps create a memorable travel experience called the Nashville Airports Experience.”

The current installation of the series includes copper and silver works by Ben Caldwell, mixed-media works by John Toomey and scenes from the Upper Cumberland Quilt Trail.
