The Thanks Again loyalty program is set to launch a beacon-enabled app at Burbank Bob Hope (BUR) through a pilot program.
Built through a partnership with technology firm Comarch Inc., the Thanks Again app allows users to access special offers and discounts. Bluetooth Low Energy beacons give users targeted offerings based on their location and proximity to stores and restaurants in the airport.
“As one of the first fully integrated, beacon-triggered apps in the airport industry to date, the Burbank app sets itself apart as offerings and discounts are customized to the individual user,” says Marc Ellis, CEO of Thanks Again. “Both location-based services and surveying users with questionnaires and CRM/CEM implementation help us mine key data that allows us to foster greater customer loyalty and continue making travel more rewarding for our members.”
The pilot app will be available at BUR starting on March 1. The full launch of the app will be in April and will expand to all 100-plus airports with Thanks Again.
