Passengers flying through Orlando International (MCO) have a new area in which to relax before their flights.
Airport Lounge Development Inc. has opened The Club at MCO in Airside 4, near Gate 91. The lounge 8,000-square-foot lounge includes a laptop bar, printer, two private workrooms, private restrooms with showers, a kids’ zone with Xbox games, complimentary snacks and drinks, Wi-Fi and bar service; it is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
“With international traffic composing over 12.5 percent of the airport’s overall traffic, Orlando International Airport is the ideal location for our newest lounge,” says Nancy Knipp, senior vice president of ALD. “In addition to offering a lounge solution to all travelers, ALD also provides airport lounge services to multiple international airlines that want a lounge product but are not in a position to operate their own lounge. An increasing number of airports across the U.S. are implementing ALD’s shared-use lounge solution to accommodate the growing number of international airlines in need of a lounge solution, and travelers looking for an alternative to exclusive and expensive lounge products.”
Priority Pass, Priority Pass Select and Lounge Club members may use the lounge via their existing memberships; non-members, regardless of airline carrier or ticket class, may gain access by purchasing a $35 day pass.
“We welcome customer service amenities designed to serve our growing domestic and international passenger needs, and we are excited to partner with ALD to bring their network and experience with lounge management to serve and accommodate our airport’s growing passenger levels,” says Frank Kruppenbacher, chairman of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.
