The Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority, which operates Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE), has named Thomas R. Stoudt as its new executive director, effective February 2018. Stoudt has been interim director of the airport authority since the departure of former director Charles Everett Jr. in the summer of 2017.
Stoudt has been employed by the airport authority for 22 years. His career began as a baggage handler and intern. Since then, he has worked in operations, planning and engineering. Before taking the leap to interim director, Stoudt served as director of operations and safety, where he acted as liaison to federal and state aviation operations and safety organizations.
Stoudt is a member of the operations, safety, planning and emergency management committee of the American Association of Airport Executives. He also is a member of the operations and technical affairs committee; the operations and safety working group; and the public safety and security committee for Airports Council International – North America.
