Bob Buckhorn is not just the new mayor of Tampa, Fla.; he is also the new assistant secretary/assistant treasurer of the board of Tampa International (TPA).
The unanimous vote happened during the April 7 meeting of the board, which also announced two new members of the management team: Christopher Minner as vice president of marketing and Damian Brooke as vice president of business planning/IT.
Minner will be responsible for the overall marketing efforts for TPA, including air service development. Before arriving in Tampa, he worked at Oakland International (OAK) and Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW). The California native has a bachelor of arts degree in applied economics from California State University.
Brooke will be instrumental in enhancing automation and the airport’s IT environment. He was at DFW before joining the team at TPA, and also worked for Sabre Holdings Inc., Qatar Airways and American Airlines. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in geography/cartography from Central Connecticut State University.
