Joseph W. Lopano has been named CEO of Tampa International (TPA).
Lopano is the executive vice president of marketing and terminal management at Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) and has been with the airport since January 1997.
He also has held management positions at Continental Airlines, Lufthansa, BWIA and Pan Am, and leadership roles in financial planning, international route development, advertising and frequent flier programs.
Contract negotiations are under way and will be voted on during a meeting on Oct. 7.
Lopano has a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Pace University and has done graduate work in marketing at the University of Connecticut.
He replaces Louis Miller, who resigned in February.
