Vino Volo has opened locations in two airports, Jacksonville International (JAX) and Austin-Bergstrom International (AUS).
The JAX location is the company’s first in Florida. It’s located near Gate C1 and includes a food menu featuring small plates, such as salmon rolls and a brie and prosciutto sandwich, to pair with wines. A selection of local craft beers also will be available to bring a local flavor.
“The Vino Volo experience is one passengers will enjoy when traveling through Jacksonville and is a welcome complement to our current in-terminal dining options,” says Steve Grossman, executive director and CEO at JAX.
The Austin location opened April 28 with a grand opening event featuring local vintners, including John Rivenburgh of Bending Branch Winery, Sarah Engelbrecht of Becker Vineyards and Michael Qualia of Val Verde Winery, who signed bottles of their wines. A Guess the Grape Variety tasting contest was also a part of the event.
At AUS, Vino Volo will include hand-selected wines from Texas and cheeses sourced from local Texas farmers and artisans.
Doug Tomlinson, CEO and founder of Vino Volo, says the company’s goal is to provide passengers “a relaxing, comfortable environment where they can experience wine country and enjoy exceptional wines while waiting for their flight.”
