The wine is flowing at Vino Volo’s newest location, Newark Liberty International (EWR).
The store, in Continental’s Terminal C1 across from Gate 73, opened Feb. 6. It had record-setting sales on its opening day, says Carla Wytmar, director of development and marketing.
“Vino Volo is thrilled to be part of Continental’s & Westfield’s award-winning concessions program at EWR,” she says. “Since uncorking our first bottle Friday, travelers have given us nothing but positive feedback and sales are very strong. It’s terrific that in these recessionary times, our guests are as enthusiastic as ever to discover great wines at Vino Volo.”
The 1,400 sq. ft. store combines a wine lounge and restaurant, tasting bar and boutique wine retail area. It offers wine by the glass, in themed tasting flights and by the bottle for customers to take home or have shipped.
Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 9 p.m.
