Walter’s Shoeshine Parlours is offering travelers shinier shoes at Toronto Pearson International (YYZ).
The business is a new venture for the parent company, E.F. Walter, founded in 1893. Based in Toronto, the fourth-generation company supplies its products to shoe retailers worldwide.
All seven Walter’s Shoe Shine Parlours at YYZ will be managed and staffed by members of the Atcha family.
“My uncle, I and our team have been delivering the perfect shoe shine experience to travelers for over 33 years and we’re proud to partner with the fine folks of E. F. Walter,” says co-owner and operator Mubin Atcha.
Walter’s president, Tim Walter, says, “Sabbir and Mubin have been working with us for almost five years now, and I’m constantly amazed by the pride that they take in their work.”
The boutique-style booths are reminiscent of a 1920s shoeshine parlor. In addition to shining men’s shoes, the booths at YYZ will carry Walter’s new line of foot comfort and shoe care products designed for women.
