The Port Authority of New York/New Jersey has named Rebecca Waterman as its new deputy aviation commercial officer, tasked with assisting the aviation commercial management unit in managing the Port Authority’s airport commercial portfolio.
Waterman will collaborate with the management teams at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), Stewart International Airport (SWF), and Teterboro Airport (TEB) airports, overseeing the respective airport properties and commercial development units, and providing guidance in the development and implementation of lease negotiation strategies.
Waterman comes to PANYNJ after serving six years as the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority in Tampa, FL, most recently as director, airline properties and contracts. There she was responsible for the management of contracts and relationships with airlines, ground handlers, and other business stakeholders at Tampa International Airport (TPA). She also has 10 years of experience as an attorney, reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts and as a litigator.
“I am delighted to join the esteemed team of aviation professionals at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey,” said Waterman in a release announcing her appointment. “I look forward to being part of the team that focuses on customer service experience as it revitalizes the largest network of airports in the world by transforming these iconic facilities into the 21st century.”
