Wimbush Named New AMAC President & CEO

Following a national search, the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) this week announced that Eboni Wimbush will become its new president and CEO at the end of this month.

Wimbush most recently served as the deputy director of the Baltimore City Mayor’s Office of Children & Family Success. Previously, she served as chief of staff at Baltimore City Department of Transportation.

“Eboni is no stranger to AMAC and brings a wealth of transportation and related leadership and management experience and education,” said Ricky Smith, chair of the AMAC Board of Directors, and CEO of Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI).
“I am confident that she will bring exceptional leadership to the AMAC National Office and lead our efforts to execute AMAC’s mission. Furthermore, she will serve as a highly respectable and credible representative of AMAC throughout the membership and the industry.”

Prior to her work in public service, Wimbush also had a distinguished private sector career at companies such as FedEx, Johnson Controls and Siemens.

“I am honored to be selected as AMAC’s next president and CEO at such a pivotal moment in history,” Wimbush said in a statement announcing her new role. “The organization connects my early passion, interest and education in aviation along with my dedication to creating a positive, lasting impact for women and disadvantaged communities.”
